My dad started working in the insurance industry in 1972 and opened his agency in North Massapequa in 1996 when I started working with him. Watching him interact with people was the reason I got into the business. He got to know so many people in the area, and everyone knew him wherever we went. I took over the agency when he retired in 2001, after 25 years in the business, and I’m proud to now work with the kids and grandkids of the people he helped to insure over the years.

Massapequa is a close-knit community, and my wife, Joey, and I are happy to be raising our twin son and daughter nearby. Most days you’ll find me at the office or with my family — especially on various sports fields with my kids. But I also do my best to give back to the community through the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce. I’m a member of the Columbus Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy, and I sponsor scholarships through the group each year. I also support local softball leagues and Plainedge High School football, and I enjoy my time with the Mustang Club of Long Island.

My team and I have been together for a long time, and you’ll experience a friendly, customer-oriented feel that comes with a family business. I spent my childhood and early adult years in Queens, New York. I attended the Tobe Coburn School for Fashion Careers in NYC. Early in my career I worked at a company that required extensive traveling throughout Asia, during which I worked with both potential and existing customers in the fashion industry. 

I have a love for learning; in fact, I try to learn something new every day at the office. Helping our customers to meet their insurance needs has been an incredibly enriching experience. There is nothing better than making sure our clients are properly prepared for the future! 

I am passionate about seeing the world and really enjoy taking trips with my son and husband. We have visited many interesting places throughout the U.S. as well as Europe and Asia. 

As a two time survivor of breast cancer, in 2008 and 2021, I know how important it is to stay physically fit and healthy so exercise is a major part of my daily routine. In my free time you can find me at the beach— walking and running the beautiful Long Island boardwalks.  

 I grew up in Massapequa, graduated from Farmingdale High School, and later graduated from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.

My experience with the Zabbia Agency started with my role as a social media and marketing intern. I enjoyed my job so much that after graduation, I decided to stay and further my knowledge of marketing in the insurance industry.

 I am passionate about my community and making a positive impact. I especially enjoy learning new ways to create connections in the community by using social media. 

I am passionate about cooking and baking and love to do so for my son, husband and dog too! You can always find me in the kitchen or with my family.

My name is Al Drago and I have been helping people fill their insurance needs for over 35 years. My insurance experience began right out of college selling life insurance and investments. I then moved over to Liberty Mutual, where I had a long, awesome career helping clients with their auto, homeowners, and Life insurance. After 30 successful years, I opted for an Early Retirement Opportunity that was offered. Realizing I enjoyed the Insurance Business too much to leave, I joined the Zabbia Agency, which has always had the same beliefs as I do, helping people. I am a proud husband and a proud father of wonderful triplets who include a Nurse, a Special Education Teacher, and my beautiful son AJ, who has Autism. Since being in the Autism Community for the last 30 years, I have profound respect for parents of and anyone working with disabled children and adults. I received my college Education from the University of Buffalo and currently have licenses for Property and Casualty Insurance, Life and Health Insurance and a Mortgage License.

My name is Brenda Silva, I am new to the Zabbia team. As a licensed insurance agent, I truly enjoy working with clients to provide the best coverages to protect themselves and their assets. Giving clients peace of mind is important to me.

I have a love for life, learning new things, bringing value to people and helping. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother, serving is the core of who I am. My hobbies include hospitality, welcoming people into our home and everything outdoors, gardening, hiking, cycling, live music and catching as many sunsets as possible.
