Honoring a Fallen Hero

On November 4th, 2016, New York City lost a 19-year veteran of the police department. Sergeant Paul Tuozzolo, 41 was mortally wounded in the line of duty while pursuing a career criminal. He leaves behind his wife, and two young children.

Sgt. Tuozzolo and his colleague, Sgt. Emmanuel Kwo, spotted a vehicle that had been used in an armed home invasion just minutes earlier. After a short pursuit, they and other officers were engaged in a gun battle. Sgt. Tuozzolo was wounded and rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
